CV’s CEO Jean-Paul Destarac and Nubar John Hanessian were honored to be presented with their physical broker licenses on May 26th by Nogales Port Director Michael Humphries and Assistant Port Director Jesus Cruz. With these two new licenses, Capin-Vyborny now counts with six Licensed Customs Brokers across the Southern Border. We believe that this number of license holders will allow us to serve our clients and ensure we execute responsible care and supervision in our five locations.
The Licensed Customs Broker Exam has averaged a 15% pass rate over the last 25 years, establishing it as the most difficult federally administered exam. In fact, JP and Nubar were the only two individuals in the port of Nogales who passed the October 2020 test. We are proud to serve the Nogales import/export community by adding two new brokers to this port of entry. According to CBP, Nogales counted with $15 billion in imports through this port last year, cementing it as the most important port in Arizona. With these two new licenses, Capin Vyborny is poised to continue serving cross border trade into the next generation and continue growth in this industry.
